9 December 2022: Rotary Seasonal Concert
The Seasonal Concerts organised by Rotary District 1240 and Inner Wheel District 24 have become a regular feature of the Chelmsford Cathedral programme. This year’s was held on the evening of Friday, 9 December. My wife and I were in the audience.
It was an opportunity to showcase some of those who had been successful in Rotary youth competitions, with readers from Brentwood School, which has provided some very good Youth Speaks teams, and two winners of Young Musician, one having won at District level and the other at Regional level.
There were also performances by the Cathedral’s Girls’ Choir, the Mushroom Theatre Group and Novem Consort from Southend High School for Girls. The audience joined in the singing of two of the carols and “We wish you a Merry Christmas”.
